Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park (6-7hrs)

Pick up from the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Airport and hit the road to Kibale National Park via Mubende – Fort portal highway. Lunch en-route, dinner and overnight stay at Rweteera Safari Park, Isunga Lodge or Papaya Lake Lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking or Habituation Experience

Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing about the full-day chimpanzee habituation experience, or half-day chimps tracking adventure. For habituation, you must carry packed lunch and mineral water for refreshment! For half-day chimps tracking, other optional activities include community tours, hill hikes or visit the crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight as on Day 1.

Day 3: Explore Semuliki National Park

Early breakfast and transfer to Semuliki National Reserve (90 minutes). Depending on your interests, we can do chimps tracking, community tour to Batwa people or walk to Sempaya hot-springs. In the reserve, we can do night game drives. Overnight at Ntoroko Game Lodge, Semuliki Safari Lodge or Bumaga Cottage or as on Day 2.

Day 4: Community Tour, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast, optional visit to “Amabeere ga Nyina Mwiru” historical site, Tooro Kings palace, Karambi tombs, local markets in Fort Portal, later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arrive in time for a fantastic boat cruise on the Kazinga channel known for the highest number of hippos on Africa, with huge Nile Crocodiles, Elephants  and buffaloes basking along the shores. Dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge, Mweya Lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, Buffalo Campsite or Kasenyi Safari Camp.

Day 5: Full Day Game drive

It’s your to explore the hidden treasures of Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy fantastic game drives along Kasenyi tracks and Mweya peninsular, or visit Katwe salt mines, and well as interesting local communities. All meals and overnight as on Day 4.

Day 6: Reserved for Departure

Breakfast and hit the road to Entebbe airport with en-route stop at the equator for photographs, arrive at the airport by late afternoon or early evening.
