6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari to Kibale, Semliki & Queen Elizabeth N.P

The 6-day Uganda safari takes Kibale National Park for chimp tracking, or a habituation experience, birding, or a night forest walk, then Semuliki National Reserve for a night game drive or Sempaya hot springs tour, and ends with an expedition to the marvelous Queen Elizabeth National Park for big game viewing and a fantastic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park (6-7hrs)

Pick up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Airport, then hit the road to Kibale National Park via the Mubende-Fort Portal highway. Lunch en route, dinner, and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp, Isunga Lodge, or Papaya Lake Lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking or Habituation Experience

Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing about the full-day chimpanzee habituation experience, or a half-day chimps tracking adventure. For habituation, you must carry a packed lunch and mineral water for refreshment! For a half-day chimp-tracking session, other optional activities include community tours, hill hikes, or visits to the crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight as on Day 1.

Day 3: Explore Semuliki National Park

Early breakfast and transfer to Semuliki National Reserve (90 minutes). Depending on your interests, we can do chimp tracking, a community tour to the Batwa people, or walk to Sempaya hot springs. In the reserve, we can do night game drives. Overnight at Ntoroko Game Lodge, Semuliki Safari Lodge, Bumaga Cottage, or as on Day 2.

Day 4: Community Tour, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast, optional visit to “Amabeere ga Nyina Mwiru” historical site, Tooro Kings palace, Karambi tombs, local markets in Fort Portal, later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arrive in time for a fantastic boat cruise on the Kazinga channel known for the highest number of hippos in Africa, with huge Nile Crocodiles, Elephants, and buffaloes basking along the shores. Dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge, Mweya Lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, Buffalo Campsite, or Kasenyi Safari Camp.

Day 5: Full Day Game drive

It’s your choice to explore the hidden treasures of Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy fantastic game drives along Kasenyi tracks and the Mweya Peninsula, or visit the Katwe salt mines and interesting local communities. All meals and overnight as on Day 4.

Day 6: Reserved for Departure

Breakfast, then hit the road to Entebbe airport, with an en-route stop at the equator for photographs. Arrive at the airport by late afternoon or early evening.
