7 Day Best Uganda Tour
The 7 days wildlife tour takes you through Bwindi National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park southwestern of Uganda, a home to more than 480 mountain gorillas. You will also have a chance to visit Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking, and wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 1: Arrival to Kampala
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and nature walk in the afternoon
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 4: Wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park
Day 7: Return to Kampala
Day 1: Arrival to Kampala
Up on arriving at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked and driven up to Kampala and if you arrive early, you visit Uganda Museum, Bahai temple, Namugongo Martyrs shrine and after, check in your hotel for dinner and night stay at Serena Hotel, Royal Hotel, Sheraton Kampala and Hotel Africana.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you set off to Kibale National Park via the papyrus swamp and the dense forest of the Nile River Delta to Kibale National Park. Up on arrival, you embark on afternoon guided nature walk along the Crater Lake at the park for cultural visit. You will check in at the lodge of your choice for dinner and night stay at Ndali Lodge, Kibale Forest Camp, Kibale Safari Lodge, Rwenzori View Guesthouse, Primate Lodge and others.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking/Habituation Experience and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast early in the morning, you join the rest of visitors at Kanyanchu visitor center for morning briefing by the park official on dos and don’ts for chimpanzee tracking and after, you will be grouped into 6 people and one guide will be assigned to you and he or she will take you through the jungles to look out for these most fascinating primates in the wild. After, the 2 to 3 hours’ trek, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife viewing and sightseeing. You will check in at Mweya Safari lodge, Mazike Lodge, Park View Safari Lodge or King fisher lodge.
Day 4: Wildlife viewing in the morning and afternoon launch cruise
Breakfast early in the morning and after, you set off for morning game drive along Kasenyi sector to look out for four of the big five game in Uganda, bird species that make up about 620 distinct bird species. In the afternoon, you embark on a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel to look out for most of the hippos, crocodiles and aquatic bird species. Afternoon, you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as on Day 3.
Day 5: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi National Park
Early in the morning, you get up and have breakfast in your respective lodge and after set off to bat caves around Maramangambo forest. You will have a chance to look out for most of the primates, reptiles and bird species, catch a glimpse of the beautiful sceneries. After, you return to the lodge for dinner and night stay at gorilla forest camp, Buhoma Homestead, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Bakiga Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Lodge or Community Bandas.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will join the rest of the visitors for the morning briefing by park official on dos and don’ts for mountain gorilla trekking. You will be allocated to only one habituated gorilla family to track in a group of 8 trekkers and only one hour is given to you to have a face to face encounter with the apes in the wild. In the whole world, there are only 900 individuals of mountain gorillas that still exist and only found in Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). After, you will return to the lodge for a night stay at Buhoma Homestead or Community Bandas, Mantana Tented Camp, Silverback Lodge and others.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
Following breakfast early in the morning, you set off to Kampala or Entebbe and you will have lunch along the way and this will mark the end of your 7 days wildlife safari in Uganda.
