Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Have breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Bwindi Gorilla Park in Southwestern Uganda. Stop at the equator for photographs, continue to Mbarara for lunch, and reach Bwindi by late afternoon – dinner and overnight at Kaara Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Agandi Uganda Eco-Lodge, Gorilla Leisure Lodge, or Bwindi Neckview Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Adventure

Wake up and prepare for the unforgettable experience. You will have breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest in search of gorillas. The time taken to search for these humble Giant apes is unpredictable; however, it ranges from 2 to 7 hours depending on their movement. You will spend an hour with the gorillas, learn about their behaviours, take pictures and enjoy this remarkable experience. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge(Day 1)

Day 3: Cross to Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park

Breakfast at the lodge and embark on a scenic drive to the home of mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. We can take an evening excursion to the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, then check in at Kwitonda Lodge, Bisate Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, or Amarembo by Touch Down for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek – Visit Ibyiwacu Cultural Village

This is your day for another gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. Assemble at Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. The trek starts at 8:00 am and lasts 1-5 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas and their speed of movement. In the evening, visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village to learn about Rwanda’s traditions and culture.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, check out and drive through Kigali city, then connect to Kigali airport for your connecting flight.
